Funded by SSE Renewables and administered by the council, the Clyde Wind Farm South Lanarkshire Net Zero Community Grant Fund is now open for applications.

Offering local groups the chance to turn ideas into real, positive change, the funding programme will provide £450,000 over three years to support projects that help tackle climate change and promote sustainability across South Lanarkshire.

Grants will typically range from £5,000 to £20,000, with the possibility of larger awards for projects that demonstrate strong impact and value. Many projects can receive full funding, making it easier than ever to get started.

Kevin Carr, Executive Director of Community and Enterprise Resource, said: “The types of projects suitable for funding include those that improve energy efficiency, increase renewable energy use, reduce waste, enhance green spaces, or support active travel and climate resilience.

“So, whether it’s a small local initiative or a larger project with wider benefits, we hope that community groups of all sizes will apply for funding to support initiatives that make a real difference.”
